The best way to get to Cairo and back!
We travelled as a group of 6 from Makadi bay, so needed a minibus (it will fit 8). We have... read more stayed in Cairo for 3 days, so booked a return at the same time.
Once booked we've received communication via WhatsApp. You will need to provide passport pictures and your hotel and room numbers. This is necessary for the police permit to travel, so don't be alarmed. There are a lot of checkpoints on the road.
We've received the driver details before travel and he was at our hotel on time.
Van is clean and reasonably comfortable, although 5-6hrs in any vehicle will be tiring. There is aircon and seats recline a little. Plenty of room. We've stopped twice on the way to Cairo, to stretch out legs and use the bathroom. Make sure you have egyptian pounds as most toilets charge 10-15 EGP.
For the way back we've had the same driver: Mohamed Altayar, which was great, as we knew him and he knew where our hotel was. Again, we've had communication that he is our driver. Mohamed got us to the airport terminal in Hurghada in plenty of time.
Overall, can not fault them! Great price and service! Definitely worth for a large group.
