Sahl Hasheesh is a gated resort town on Egypt’s Red Sea coastline, just 20km south of Hurghada International Airport. We think Old Town Sahl Hasheesh is definitely worth wandering to during early evening. Old Town Sahl Hasheesh is an easy 60 minute stroll along the promenade from hotels such as Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh and Baron Palace Sahl Hasheesh. Plus there are plenty of things to see as you walk.
When you arrive at Old Town Sahl Hasheesh take a look at the arrival plaza with its running water. In addition, this area is lit up at night with coloured lights and looks stunning. After this, continue walking and you will come across small shops and restaurants in the alleyways and courtyards of Old Town Sahl Hasheesh. Wander a little further and you will find the pier. Once on the pier take a look to your left to see the sunken city. This is a replica sunken city and the fish life here are amazing. Additionally, the beach at Old Town Sahl Hasheesh is very clean and family friendly. Plus, it is easy to get to Hurghada city from Sahl Hasheesh.
